First let me start by saying, I have NEVER reviewed a toy online before. The the superior quality and wonderful reaction from my children made it impossible for me not to!! From the second this was opened, my children literally jumped for joy. It is large and sturdy enough that all 3 kids can play with it at the same time. I purchased the large set of farm animals and the fence along with this and I literally cannot pry them away! We've NEVER had such a strong reaction to a toy. I am also completely impressed with the quality of the barn and animals. I looked at other all-wooden barns and was not impressed. This barn is made with a combination of plastic and wood and is easy to put together. It far exceeds the quality of ANY OTHER TOY WE OWN. I did not realize that this type of quality still existed in the toy world. I do wish they made dollhouses, firehouses and more! This toy will withstand the test of time and is worth every penny. And speaking of pennies, I spent about $156 on amazon for the barn, animal set and fence. The barn alone retailed at a local toystore for over $160. If you are on the fence (no pun intended) I would not hesitate to purchase any of the Schleich products. You will be pleasantly surprised!. this is my Schleich Big Red Barn reviews
